For 20 years Evax Systems have been at the forefront of voice systems in the Life Safety industry. Evax Systems intends to fit the need for a new independent fire alarm company.

Evax engineers and manufactures a wide range of fire alarm devices, including Initiation, Initiation (Bells, Horns, Horn/Strobes, Speakers, Speaker/Strobes) Power Supplies, Fire Accessories, and Explosion Proof products. The Evax HMX supervised emergency voice alert system meets or exceeds DOD Minimum Anti-terrorism Standards for Buildings. Colleges, universities and corporate parks can have individual building fire systems, with capability for campus-wide voice networking using CAT 5 or fiber optics. In airports, such as Atlanta’s Hartsfield International, our networked audio allows for individual systems in separate terminals to be linked together for system wide communication from a central location.

Products:

Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) - Each SLC loop can handle addressable input/output device monitoring and/or control 126 devices per loop for a total of 1008 devices. The FIRE 1 is also capable of controlling conventional fire zones in increments of 10 per input card The FIRE 1 FACP has the ability of remotely troubleshooting and/or programming the panel through the use of an optional modem installed at the FACP.

Addressable Initiation - FIRE 1 and FIRE 2 panels may operate with either Apollo or System Sensor protocols. The FIRE 1 system can utilize both protocols from the same panel. FIRE 2 must be selected by the protocol desired for the application. Evax Fire Solutions carries the full line from both manufacturers to insure compatibility with any current work you may be doing.

Notification (Bells, Horns and Horn/Strobes) - Our series of audible devices are a low profile strobe, horn or horn/strobe combination that offers dependable audible and audible/visual alarms with the lowest current available. This series also includes the Checkmate™ – Instant Voltage Verification feature that allows the installer to check the voltage without removing the signal device. This series of appliances are UL listed for use with fire protective systems and are warranted for three years from date of purchase.

Notification (Speakers, Speaker/Strobes) - Notification Appliance Circuit (NAC) power supplies provide either 8 or 10 amps of additional power, primary applications include NAC (such as strobes and horns) expansion support to meet ADA requirements. It also provides auxiliary power to support system accessories.

Door Holders - Evax DH Series of electromagnetic fire door holders are constructed of durable die-cast metal finished in high-luster double chrome or brass plating.The aircraft-quality DH drill fixture reduces installation time and provides a near-perfect alignment of catchplate and armature. Basic units offer superior holding force and low residual magnetism.

Relays - The Evax PAM Series Relays are encapsulated multi-voltage devices with “flying” leads that offer versatile, reliable performance in a convenient package. Several of the versions contain a red LED which indicates when the relay coil is energized. The MR Series Multi-voltage Control Relays offer SPDT or DPDT 10 Amp resistive contacts which may be operated by one of four input control voltages. They are suitable for use with HVAC, Temperature Control, Fire Alarm, Security,Energy Management and Lighting Control Systems.

Fire Alarm System Protection - Evax offers a line of guards to protect costly Fire Alarm components from damage leading to misalignment and false alarms. These guards come in the form of Stoppers, Wire Guards, Audible Guards and Beam Guards.

Explosion Proof Heat Detectors - DETECT-A-FIRE® thermal detectors are UL
Listed and FM Approved detection and release devices used with fire detection systems to activate alarms and actuate extinguishing systems. This Rate Compensated device combines the best features of both fixed temperature and rate-of-rise detectors.

Explosion Proof Speakers - The Evax explosion proof speaker is designed for use in hazardous locations. The unit produces a crisp, clear, high decimal tone/voice output. The speaker cone and projector are of spun aluminum. The speaker driver and circuitry are contained in a explosion proof housing.

Explosion Proof HEPS Strobes- The HEPS Series of Explosion proof strobe is a low current draw signal designed specifically for 24VDC Fire Alarm Control Panels. Each glass globe has a cast iron guard for protection against external damage.

Explosion Proof FSEX Strobes - Evax Model FSEX is an explosion-proof strobe light designed for use in hazardous locations which provides 80 high intensity flashes per minute. The strobe mechanism and circuitry is contained in a corrosion resistant copper free cast aluminum, explosion-proof housing.

Explosion Proof Horn - The Harrington hazardous location horn is a heavy duty, high decibel vibrating horn intended for use in hazardous locations. High efficiency with low current drain. For use in dusty, hazardous atmospheres where a distinctive, urgent signal is required for timing, scheduling, paging and general alarm applications. Typical applications include use in mines, petroleum plants, gas plants, grain elevators, flour mills, paper mills, textile plants and tankers. Hazardous location models are available as weatherproof.
